July 19 Update

Way to go, Bunch fam! Our campaign has been officially open for 12 days and we are cooking 🔥Early Bird sold out in 4 days, we're currently at $443k funded and we have a new FEATURED investor: our hero, Sam Balto!

Coach Balto is a PE teacher and cargo bike dad who started a Portland bike bus that went viral - and went on to found the national advocacy org Bike Bus World, empowering teachers and parents around the country to organize for healthier, more sustainable and more joyful transportation to school.

We've worked closely with Coach Balto to support bike bus leaders in our community - and make the bike bus movement more accessible to all ages and all abilities. Knowing that he believes in us and sees us in alignment with his mission - is a huge honor!

July 11 Update

Bunch fam - you work fast! After 10 days of pre launch and 4 days of campaign - our WeFunder stands at $367,420 and our Early Bird goal is complete.

We are now 31% of the way to the maximum investment available. 

I’m honored, grateful and energized by the momentum that we’ve created already - first and foremost through investment from our community. Our Bunch owners know better than anyone how cargo bikes change lives - and what a “bike first” future can look like for our families and our neighborhoods. We are here to help bring about and lead the cargo bike boom that’s coming! 

That said - because of our incredible early traction, we’ll be featured in some of WeFunder’s own marketing and outreach over the next week or two. This does mean a potential influx of new people checking out our campaign.

I do not plan to make more equity available at this time. Once we reach our 1.2M goal for the SAFE, the WeFunder will close.

We've got big plans!

We're proud to say that we are profitable and sustainable at our current size and scale. Over eight years, we've made steady growth with very little advertising - just word of mouth and community connection.

We've got passionate customers and advocates, unique inclusion programs and a great reputation. We're grateful to be where we are.

Right now, we also see a golden moment of opportunity - to grow our business, and our mission, without losing sight of our values. 

The cargo bike boom is coming. Like electric cars in the 2000s, electric cargo bikes are now gathering momentum for the decade ahead.

If we make the right moves - we can take the lead and bring about a revolution in sustainable transportation, making family biking the norm rather than the exception.

We are poised for big growth. We have a fantastic new 2026 model bike in the works. We have revolutionary new products in development.

We're in a market sweet spot, with few real competitors, and we've just launched an exclusive new partnership with Pedego, the leading ebike retailer and rental network.

Doing it the Bunch way

I founded Bunch Bikes because I wanted to bring the joy of family biking to other families like mine. From the beginning, the core values of our business have been to provide exceptional customer service, continuously improve, and do the right thing always.

To me it's non-negotiable that anything we do next has to meet those standards. 

At this stage, some companies might look to bring in venture capital or get bought out by a huge company. But I'm not interested in bringing in any ownership that might change our focus, our priorities or our values. 

Instead we're building our future in partnership with our own community.

We're using WeFunder to invite our Bunch Squad members, customers, family and fans to invest directly in Bunch Bikes. WeFunder allows our community members to put in as little as $100 to own a piece of Bunch Bikes - which will later convert to equity shares at our current valuation. 

This round of investment will allow us to make the big moves that take us to the next level - through product development, new retail partnerships and new digital marketing initiatives too. 

Building together

It's been a joy to get to build this with families who believe in what we're doing. We've heard from so many of you with amazing stories to share - some who are our very earliest adopters, some secondhand owners and some "multi-Bunch" families. 

We've heard from so many families with medical or adaptive needs - who are able to bike together because of Bunch Bikes and our inclusion program. From those who have been wowed by our approach to customer service, and our commitment to doing the right thing.

From folks who are passionate about making active, sustainable transportation the norm for our communities. And from so many of us who are looking for ways we can work together, right now, to make a positive impact on our nation's future.
