We're back, baby!
Part personal challenge, part competition, part discount offer - it's one of our most popular programs ever and it's BACK for 2025 starting today!
How it works
- Purchase a new Bunch Bike during the promo period, June 10 - 30.
All models and layouts are eligible. Open Box and secondhand bikes are not included, sorry!
- Get comfortable on your new ride, then start skipping those short car trips!
Heading to preschool, the park, the grocery store or the pool? Take the bike instead - it's healthier, better for the environment, more active and more fun!
-
Earn your own rebate!
After 60 days of riding, send us a timestamped pic of your bike odometer. We'll REBATE you $1 for every mile you biked - and every car mile you replaced!
Example: Order your bike on June 20. Receive your bike on July 1. Ride 485 miles by September 1. Send us a photo of your odometer - you'll receive a $485 rebate from Bunch Bikes!
Past record holders
How much will your rebate be? That's up to you!
The current record holder is Chris S. in Minneapolis. He biked 1503.9 miles in his first 60 days of Bunch Bike ownership and received a $1503.90 rebate!
Brooke B. of Washington, DC is another high scorer at 750 miles in her first 60 days. Of course, your mileage may vary 😉Rebates in the $150-$500 range are more common but the more you ride - the more you will earn!
Why we do this
We love working with local ebike rebate and voucher programs! We think these policies are a great way to encourage sustainable transportation - and make the bike life more accessible. However, these programs are typically very small with limited funding available - leaving many families disappointed.
Someday we'd also love to see the federal electric vehicle credit, currently good for a $7500 tax rebate, expanded to cover ebikes as well, but unfortunately this does not seem to be on the horizon.
We do all we can to advocate for these bike-friendly policies. But in the meantime - inspired by your enthusiasm - we've gone ahead to offer our own "Do It Yourself" rebate program!
Our goal is to inspire, celebrate and encourage skipping those short car trips - to get around by bike instead!
The fine print
You must photograph your odometer within 60 days of receiving your bike. The photo must have a verifiable time stamp and we must receive the photo within two weeks of that date in order for you to be eligible for the rebate.
You can submit your photo via email info@bunchbike.com or text 940-536-0597. Be sure to let us know your bike order number and email so we can refund your original payment method!
You must actually ride your bike outdoors in order for your miles to count. No strapping your bike on a treadmill 😂
Only Bunch Bike miles will be considered for this offer. (But stay tuned for #CarFreeChallenge in the fall which allows you to count all bike, walk and transit miles!)
Other discounts you receive will be calculated as part of your rebate, not in addition. For example, if you receive a $250 educator discount, and then ride 300 miles in the first sixty days, you would receive a $50 rebate in addition to your existing discount - not a total of $550!
Who is eligible?
New Bunch Bikes purchased June 10 through June 30, 2025 are eligible for Earn Your Rebate. Open Box and secondhand sales are not eligible.
We will sometimes also offer Earn Your Rebate on a case by case basis year round, for individual purchasers who miss out on a local rebate program!
Already own your Bunch Bike? Check out our free Mileage Milestone stickers to celebrate your bike miles - and stay tuned for #CarFreeChallenge in the fall!
Is there a rebate limit?
Nope! If you can rack up 1,503 miles in 60 days - more power (and $1,503) to you. Every mile you bike is great for our community and our movement!
If your rebate is greater than $500 we may request additional documentation such as photos, activity tracker or map logs to verify. But we know it can be done!
Why go by bike?
Over half of all US car trips are under three miles long!
Those short hops - to daycare or school dropoff, the grocery store, the gym, the park or the playground - are very easy to make by bike instead.
If you can replace even a few short trips per week - you'll be giving yourself the gift of a healthier, more active lifestyle.
You'll save money on gas, parking, and insurance. (Or a car payment - if you can skip or sell a second car!)
You'll free yourself up for a more joyful, more spontaneous travel experience that lets you connect with your kids, your neighbors and your community.
You'll also be drastically cutting down on your family's emissions by choosing more sustainable transportation!
Ebike vs. electric car
A cargo bike is an affordable, practical electric vehicle that makes sustainable transportation easy and accessible.
Unlike an electric car, a cargo bike costs less than $10,000 and doesn't require insurance or a fancy charging station, just a regular wall outlet! (Read more from NPR's Morning Edition)
Electric bikes don't contribute to tire pollution, road wear and tear or traffic backups.
We think ebike incentives are a great way to shift our whole community toward a more sustainable, more connected future.
We'll keep advocating for national incentives. In the meantime - Earn Your Rebate is back for our Bunch fam!

Bunch Bikes
Good point – I guess we’d better add that to the fine print! If you ride MORE than the purchase price of your bike, we’ll have to just call it even :)
Kape
It would be quite a project (and probably involve borrowing some Bunch batteries from your Bunch friends), but it seems conceivable someone could rack up a rebate equal to or greater than the cost of their Bunch? You’d have to average around 100 miles/day.
