Shipping Cargo Bikes
Bunch Bikes offers two shipping methods for our cargo bikes: Unassembled and Fully Assembled. Because of the large size and weight of our cargo bikes, each of our bikes ship via a freight LTL carrier. The costs can vary significantly from one shipping option to another, and from state to state.
This page can help you make the best decision for your family on how you want your bike delivered. To see what your shippings costs would be, add a bike to your cart and go to checkout using an accurate shipping address. You'll then see the 3 shipping options available to you.
Unassembled is the most economical way for us to ship our bikes. This is especially true for international shipments and for states furthest away from our Texas warehouse. Our freight costs increase with shipping distance.
If you choose Unassembled, you will first need to speak with your local bike shop. Find out if they are willing to receive the package on your behalf and do the assembly. This is a common service that most bike shops offer for bikes ordered online. Each bike will come with assembly instructions to guide your bike shop through the build. The savings in freight will more than cover the cost of your shop's assembly fee.
We will only ship unassembled bikes to bike shops. This is for safety and liability purposes. Our cargo bikes are intended to transport your children and we want to keep them safe. The assembly process is not simple, and we need to know that our cargo bikes are being handled by a professional.
If you have professional-level bike mechanic experience and think that you are qualified to do your own assembly, send us an email.
Fully Assembled Delivery
This is our white-glove service that will get you riding on your new cargo bike as painlessly as possible. Our Fully Assembled service delivers your bike professionally built, tuned, and ready to ride straight out of the box. Simply cut the pallet straps, open the box, and then load up the kids for their first ride.
We offer two Fully Assembled shipping options at checkout. Delivery to a Bike Shop or Business Address and Home Delivery. LTL freight companies will charge $100 or more to deliver to a residential address. So, it may be worth your time to find a business or bike shop willing to receive the Fully Assembled bike on your behalf. If you choose the "ship to business address" option, be sure to set the business address as the shipping address for your order.
Our LTL freight partners will ensure that your new bike gets to you safely. Our Fully Assembled bike ship in large custom boxes, strapped to an oversized pallet. Dimesions of the box/pallet combo are 96"x40"x53" with a weight of 276lbs.
Due to the large size and weight of the Fully Assembled bike on a pallet, shipping rates can vary greatly from state to state. We don't charge an assembly fee, but we do charge a $75 fee to cover the cost of the custom pallet and shipping box. The shipping charge you see at checkout is the total cost of the freight carrier's rate plus this $75 fee.
